I have taught for Toledo Public Schools for ten years at several high schools including Start, Scott and Waite. I have also taught workshops for the Young Scholars program through Ohio State University and Composition through the University of Findlay. My personal research interests are in American Literature and Composition.

Committed to working in public education, I have always been interested in working in a school that is on the cutting edge of current educational research and practices and Toledo Early College is definitely that school. The English department at Toledo Early College has been developed to prepare students for the kinds of reading and writing that students will be doing at the college level.

I think that Toledo Early College is an amazing environment for both teachers to teach and for students to learn. Our relationship with the University of Toledo provides us with ever changing opportunities. The students at Toledo Early College are exceptional and grow to be even more so as they balance their high school and college schedules and as they succeed in the college environment.

Working at Toledo Early College is the most rewarding experience I have had in my career so far. I look forward to seeing our school and the English department continue to develop and grow.
