I believe the quest for knowledge should be a meaningful and purposeful journey for the student and teacher. Meaning, purpose, explanation, exploration, interpretation, and clarification are necessary factors in the quest for knowledge. I believe teachers should have classrooms that promote creative thinking and high expectations. I believe students must push themselves to their own limits of capability.

I believe technology is a necessary and beneficial element in the education of our students. I believe reading and writing across the curriculum is necessary in meeting and excelling state and national standards for education.

And I believe, above anything else—teachers, students, and parents must be partners in this journey for the quest for knowledge.
